One Thousand and One and a half Nights

The picture above is showing part of the view you get when eating at ‘Fort View’ one of Lahore’s old city restaurants overlooking Badshahi Mosque (or Badshahi Masjid). In the real world you would have seen not only the Badshahi Mosque (as pictured above) but also the Sikh temple and the Mughal Fort. Even a wide angle wouldn’t have gotten it all....

The view is stunning, the food is good (not great, for that you better go to Gulberg or other parts in town) but neither beer nor wine are served 'in the open' in this Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

No beer and wine but instead the call to prayer from the muezzin.
It looks beautiful but I don't think I will go there...
