Christmas party on the beach

Like every year we celebrate Christmas on the beach together with the village of Biga. What a pleasure!

The weather gods had been with us, so that tropical rains didn’t interrupt the festivities. The MC (master of ceremony) led us through the games (see hit-the-pot picture above), dances by the girls of the village, food (no lechon, but pansit), and gifts by Santa Claus. Afterwards we had some beverages to thoroughly reflect the afternoon

The party is getting bigger every year. Six years ago we counted some 55 kids; in 2007 we reached more than 90. No chance that the Filipinos would die out. Tagalog seems to be the language of the 22nd century. So, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
